AAS Travel Grants

AAS Student Travel Grants

Student Travel Grants provide support for high school, undergraduate or graduate student members of the AAS who have limited or no funding support, but plan to be presenting authors on a poster or oral presentation at the upcoming AAS meeting. Typical Award $250 to $800.

Please note: Travel grant applicants must be current, student members of the society. The deadline for membership payment for all travel grant applicants is April 2, 2019~ two weeks prior to the travel grant deadline. If you are not yet a member but would like to be, please visit the membership page for more information.

Student Travel Grant Application

Please note that the AAS cannot (by law) provide travel funds for individuals who reside in US embargoed countries.


Schlinger Travel Grant

The Schlinger Travel Grant has been generously provided by the Schlinger Foundation to aid non-student and emeritus scientists interested in attending the annual meetings of the American Arachnological Society. Awards of up to $800 will be considered for active professional arachnologists or retired arachnologists with limited or no funding support who are presenting authors on a poster or oral presentation at the meeting.
